A 5-week journey
Week 1: Framing the right problem
Instead of jumping into solutions, scoping the right design challenge is key. We blend data and stories to come up with what's truly important to solve for.
Week 2: Empathy for users & beneficiaries
Even as professionals who engage with our clients everyday, we might hold many unconscious assumptions about them. This phase helps us see them with fresh eyes.
Week 3: Making sense & developing a point of view
With all the fieldwork, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. We get together as a team to collectively make sense of all the thick data and come to a deeper understanding of the needs of our users.
Week 4: Diverging on ideas
To have great ideas, you need to have many ideas. We go into full ideation mode here to brainstorm innovative solutions. Ideas in and of themselves are abstract, so we prototype them to make them tangible and easier to test.
Week 5: Testing & iteration
We only really know if our ideas work where the rubber hits the road. Testing and iterating quick and dirty prototypes with our users provide valuable feedback on the desirability, feasibility, and viability of our solutions.
